Cognac

October, 2017

Sipping a glass of cognac is a pleasure all its own. Adding chocolates and a book to curl up with is a piece of heaven. Here’s how to know what you’re buying.

The older the cognac, the better it is, and the label says it all:

VS (Very Special) means the cognac is aged at least two years.

VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) is aged four years.

XO (Extra Old) is aged six years or more.

Just remember: Cognacs are usually blended vintages, and the label represents the youngest vintage in the blend.
