ST. ALBERT SALVATION ARMY—Help the St. Albert Salvation Army celebrate its 30th anniversary. There’ll be a pancake breakfast on the August 20th from 10 am to 2 pm. On the 21st, come to the 11 am church service where the Soul Sportz Children’s Choir will sing a few new songs. Stay afterwards for a BBQ, face painting, balloon animals and a bouncy castle—all to be enjoyed until 3 pm.

ST. ALBERT GARDENING SHOW—
On August 20th from 10 am to 5 pm, “potter” around the variety of entries for this annual gardening show hosted by the St. Albert Garden Club. Some of the categories include: cut flowers, young gardeners and artistic endeavours. To register your entry for free on the 19th from 7pm to 9 pm, and the 20th 8 am to 10:15 am. Mayor Nolan Crouse will award the prizes.

PRESCHOOL PICASSO—
Calling all young artists! On August 20th get your creative caps on, and let your inner Picasso flourish from 10 am to 11 am. This class will be about clay handprint keepsakes. Get your parent(s) in on the action, too. It’s $10 per class ($9 for Arts and Heritage members), and all materials are provided.

THE TRAGICALLY HIP: A NATIONAL CELEBRATION—On August 20th, a Canadian music era will come to an end. The final concert from The Hip will be broadcasted and streamed live without commercial interruption. The Arden Theatre will host the screening party for all St. Albert Hip fans. Tickets are available in person only from the Arden’s box office.

UKE IT UP!—
Love the melodic sound of the ukulele? The St. Albert Public Library will be hosting a ukulele jam session from 2 pm to 3:30 pm on August 21st. Beginners, expert pickers and everyone in between are welcome—just need to bring your uke.
