Slather this frosting on your favourite cupcake for a delightfully spiked Valentine’s Day treat.
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
With an electric mixer, beat the butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add the sugar, and mix again. With the mixer set to low, gradually pour in the red wine. Increase the speed to medium, add the vanilla and whip until light and fluffy.
