The carbonization in beer helps make this fish batter light and crispy. You can use it to batter any type of fish.
1 can lager beer (355 ml)
1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp ground sweet smoked paprika or ground cayenne pepper
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients with a whisk until all the flour is combined. Allow the batter to sit for at least five minutes before dunking your fish.
