GUYS & DOLLS—On November 2nd and 3rd, Richard S. Fowler Catholic Junior High presents its production of Guys & Dolls. Support your local thespians by attending this musical on either night. Curtain goes up at 7 pm and tickets are available from R. S. Fowler.

GUILDED: A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT—On November 3rd, the Art Gallery of St Albert will be exhibiting art from the members of the St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council (SAPVAC). Showcasing a wide variety of media and styles, this exhibit celebrates the creativity of St. Albert’s local artists. SAPVAC is comprised of the St. Albert Potters’ Guild, Painters’ Guild, Floral Art Society, Quilters’ Guild and Paper Arts Guild. Opening reception starts at 6 pm and goes to 8:30 pm.

BLOOD, TOIL, TEARS—On November 3rd, the Art Gallery is holding an opening reception for its new exhibit, Boil, Toil, Tears. The artworks featured explore the human element of war and contemplate and commemorate those who fought, that were lost, as well as civilians displaced by warfare. The exhibit is comprised of artworks from the Art Gallery of St. Albert collection, artworks from local artists, as well as works loaned from the Collection of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Opening reception starts at 6 pm and goes to 8:30 pm.

SAVING SOME DAYLIGHT—On November 6th, it’s time to fall back an hour. Don’t forget to put your clocks back an hour on Saturday before you go to sleep or, better yet, wake up on Sunday morning, look at your clock and realize you can have another full hour to sleep before greeting the day.

QUARTANGO: BODY AND SOUL—On November 5th, come and feel the passion of the Argentinian tango via Montréal. Quartango has been making Canada dance for 30 years with their jazz infused tango music. They’ve won a JUNO, are internationally renowned and have even played at Carnegie Hall. Get an aisle seat in case you get the urge to dance.

12 ACRES AND BREWMASTERS—On November 7th, 12 Acres will host a four-course meal made by top local chefs and accompanied by four craft beers courtesy of Fernie Brewing Company. There are limited spaces for this special event, so reserve your seat early.
