January 5th to 11th Events Listing

LEGO AT THE LIBRARY—On January 5^th, let your constructive imagination take flight with Lego. Kids in Grade 1 to Grade 6 can enjoy an hour of building whatever they want out of this favourite toy. The library supplies the Lego, but you need to register for the event.

PRACTICE DANCE—On January 6^th, Sabrina’s Dance Instruction is offering a free practice dance in honour of its 30^th Anniversary. For those who have had or are taking dance lessons and need to get some practice time. Registration required.

NEW YEAR’S SKATE—On January 8^th, enjoy a free skate to ring in the new year. There’ll be complimentary hot chocolate and Timbits from Jenkins Family Tim Hortons. Event starts at 1:45 pm and ends at 3:15 pm.

THE LITTLE MERMAID—Starting on January 11^th, Paul Kane High School Musical Theatre presents Disney’s The Little Mermaid, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale. You’ll find yourself singing along to “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.” The production goes to January 13^th.
